Randall's Defense Guides the Saints to a Win Over Barclay

MOORE, Ok. - The Saints began their second time through the Southwestern Region with their game against Barclay College Tuesday night. Randall increased their Region record to 5-0 as they knocked off the Bears 77-53. The Saints were lead by Senior Anthony Williams, who provided a double-double scoring 10 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Junior Trey Sneed lead the Saints in scoring with 16 points while also pulling down 7 rebounds of his own. Junior Adam Morales had an all around great game for the Saints, providing 10 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Randall shot 75% from the free throw line, continuing their strong season from the charity stripe. 

1st Half - Despite a quick 4-2 lead from Barclay, the Saints controlled the game early on, and never let go. Strong defense and efficient offense capped off by a Trey Sneed layup gave the Saints a 20-8 lead with 12 minutes left in the half. Barclay did cut the lead down to 5 at one point, but a corner three from Senior Ryan Hickerson gave the Saints a 38-26 lead going into the half. Sneed had 10 of his 16 points in the half, and Junior Ben Collier provided 6 points and 2 rebounds off the bench. 

2nd Half - The Saints strong defense continued as the second half began. The Bears didn't get the first points of the half for almost 3 minutes. By the 15 minute mark Randall had extended its lead to 49-30. The lead hovered around 20 for the remainder of the game, until a layup by Senior Derrick Allen gave the Saints their final 77-53 lead. Anthony Williams lead Randall in the second half with 8 points and half of his game leading 12 rebounds. Isaac Bowles also provided 7 points and 3 rebounds as Randall was able to dominate inside. 

Next up for the Saints is a matchup on the road against Ozark Christian College. Randall won the first matchup of the year 103-78 at home on December 2nd.
