Five Saints Receive All-American Honors

ANKENY, Ia. - The NCCAA DII Men's and Women's Basketball Awards Banquet took place on Tuesday night, and the Saints received 5 All-American awards. Three Randall Women's student-athletes were given All-American honors, and two Randall Men's student-athletes received All-American honors as well.

The Women's awards were the first to be given. Senior Julia Garrard received 2nd Team All-American honors. Garrard averaged 10.5 points and a team leading 10.4 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 2.2 steals per game this season. Junior Gabbie Parsons also was named a 2nd Team All-American. Parsons lead the Saints with 12.9 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game. Senior Sadie Perry was the third Saint to be named an All-American, receiving 3rd Team honors. Perry averaged 9.7 points per game this season, while leading the team in minutes per game with 28. 

The Men's awards followed, and Junior Trey Sneed was awarded 1st Team All-American honors for the second year in a row. (Trey was also named the National Player of the Year for back-to-back seasons) Sneed lead the Saints with 18.3 points per game, while shooting 49.8% from the field. Trey was also third in rebounding with 6.0 rebounds per game, and lead the Saints in blocks with 1.1 per game. The final All-American award for the Saints was received by Sophomore Kashus Lyons, who was named a 3rd Team All-American. Lyons scored 11.4 points per game this season, shooting 40.3% from 3 and 46.8% from the field. Kashus lead the Saints in steals with 2.1 per game, and his 3.7 assists per game was second on the team.
