MOORE, Okla. - Randall Men's Basketball faced Oklahoma City University, ranked anywhere from 3-12 in different NAIA DI polls, Wednesday night for the second time this season, and the fourth time in two years. The Stars had won the last three meetings, despite Randall leading by 6 earlier this year in Oklahoma City before falling by 13. Wednesday proved to be another exciting, fast paced game between the two Oklahoma City area powers. After sending the game to overtime, the Saints pulled off a huge win 116-113 over the NAIA DI Stars in a game where the lead changed a remarkable 21 times. Randall was led by Junior Guard Kashus Lyons (Abilene, TX/Abilene Christian High School), whose 32 points were a game high. Lyons also contributed 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals the night after recording a double-double. Senior Guard Xavier Hunter (Oklahoma City, OK/Del City High School) continued his hot shooting, scoring 28 points while making 5 of 11 three point attempts. Hunter had 3 steals in the game, and was also a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line. Senior Forward Ben Collier (McAlester, OK/McAlester High School) was also perfect from the line, impressively making all 12 of his attempts en route to a 24 point performance to go along with 6 rebounds. Senior Forward Trey Sneed had a double-double off the bench, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Junior Point Guard Brad Ficken (Adelaide, Australia/Tatachilla Lutheran) dropped 10 assists to his teammates to go with his 5 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. The Saints shot 48.6% from the field, and 41.2% from 3 for the game. Randall turned it over only 13 times to Oklahoma City's 19. The Saints also edged the stars with 10 offensive rebounds compared to Oklahoma City's 9. The Saints 23 assists were their second most of the season. 

1st Half - The game went back and forth early on, with the lead alternating regularly for the first 10 minutes. The Stars then went on a 11-0 run to take a 36-26 lead with 7:50 remaining. The Saints slowly fought back and took a 41-40 lead with 4:52 remaining. After numerous lead changes, Sneed made a layup at the end of the half to cut the Stars lead to 55-54 at the half. Kashus Lyons was incredible in the first half, scoring 20 of his 32 points, making 6 straight 3's, shooting 6-7 from long range for the half, while grabbing 6 rebounds and recording 3 assists. Hunter also had a big first half offensively, scoring 15 points. Sneed provided 8 points off the bench. Randall shot 50% from the field, and 47.6% from 3 in the half. 

2nd Half & OT - The Stars jumped out quick on the Saints to start the second half, going on a 6-0 run to extend their lead to 61-54. The Oklahoma City lead remained around 5 for the first 5 minutes of the half. The Randall comeback was kickstarted by 3 straight possessions where Ben Collier grabbed an offensive rebound, getting a layup on the first two, and getting fouled on the third for 2 more points. Collier followed that up with a long 3 to cut the Oklahoma City lead to 70-68. Collier's 9 straight points along with some inspired defense from the Saints allowed the Saints to tie it up at 70-70 on an offensive rebound and layup by Freshman Forward Jordan Downs (Fort Worth, TX/Everman High School). On a night where offense reigned supreme, the Saints held Oklahoma City to 4 points from the 15:48 mark until 9:12 remaining in the half. That defense allowed the Saints to go on a 20-4 run, taking an 83-74 lead. Oklahoma City tied it up at 93-93 with 4:12 remaining, and then immediately took a lead they would hold until the end of the half. With 12 seconds left Xavier Hunter hit a 3 to tie the game at 101-101. The Saints forced a really tough shot that missed, and the half court attempt by the Saints missed, sending the game to overtime. In overtime Oklahoma City once again jumped out to an early lead, getting up 108-103 with 3 minutes remaining. Two made free throws from Lyons put the Saints in front 109-108 with 2 minutes remaining, and they wouldn't relinquish the lead. Collier had 17 points in the second half and OT, going a perfect 8-8 from the FT line and 4-5 from the field along with 5 rebounds. Hunter added 11 points in the half and OT, and Sneed grabbed 7 rebounds.
