Randall Women Dominate Barclay on Homecoming

MOORE, Ok. - The Saints extended their record to 6-0 in the Southwest Region Tuesday night as they knocked off Barclay College 99-30 as Randall University celebrated Homecoming. Randall was dominant in just about every aspect of the game, dominating the boards 48-21, and forcing 31 turnovers while committing only 8 of their own. Junior Gabbie Parsons lead Randall with a 24 points and 6 rebounds. Senior Nicole Ellis provided a double-double off the bench with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Center Julia Garrard may not have scored her usual double digit points, but she helped the team greatly in every other aspect, with 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 3 blocks.

1st Quarter - Randall took over the game from the start, winning the first quarter 27-2. Gabbie Parsons was dominant offensively scoring 13 points, while the Saints defense kept the Bears from getting anything going on the offensive end. Julia Garrard had 6 assists, 3 steals, 2 points, and 1 block in the quarter.

2nd Quarter - While the defense wasn't quite as stifling as it was in the first quarter, the Saints were able to take the quarter 22-10 thanks to a balanced offensive attack and solid team defense. 7 Saints scored in the 2nd quarter, including 5 off the bench.

3rd Quarter - Once again the Saints starters were dominant scoring 24 of Randall's 26 points in the quarter. The defense held Barclay to only 9 points as Randall extended their lead to 75-21.

4th Quarter - Senior Tiffani Burns lead off the quarter with a three to give Randall a 78-21 lead, which set the tone for a quarter dominated by the Randall bench. All 24 points in the quarter were scored by the Saints bench players, who also held Barclay to 9 points once again. Nicole Ellis lead Randall in the 4th with 7 points and 5 rebounds.

Next up for the Saints is a Southwest Region matchup on the road against Ozark Christian College. Randall won the previous matchup at home on December 2 100-35.
