Kelsey grew up in Pryor, Oklahoma. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University from 2012-2016. She ran both cross country and track during her time at OBU. Her freshman year of cross country she suffered an injury to her lower leg. It was during that time that she decided Athletic Training was the profession she wanted to go in to. After graduating OBU, she started the journey of becoming an Athletic Trainer at the University of Central Oklahoma. She graduated with her masters degree in Athletic Training from UCO in May 2019.
