Men's Basketball Falls Short Against NWOSU

Moore, OK - Yesterday at 7:30 PM the Saints took on Northwestern Oklahoma State University.  The Saints fought extremely hard and kept it close for the entire game.  At the end of the first half the Rangers led by a total of 10 points.  With five minutes remaining in the game the Saints closed the lead to just three points.  The Saints battled down until the end.  With 10 seconds left in the second half the Saints had made it a one possession game and only needed a three-pointer to tie.  However because of the lack of time they were forced to foul and send the rangers to the free throw line.  After a few made free throws the Rangers pulled away to win by five points.  The Saints played extremely well considering they were matched up against a bigger DII school.  Daekwon Cubit finished with a double double, 12 points and 10 boards.  John Bailey led the team in scoring with 17 points.  Isaiah Tillman led the team with eight assists as well.  Jordan Marshall and Brent Clark also scored 14 points a piece.

The Saints play again this Wednesday at Arkansas Monticello.  Stay tuned for more info.
