
Men's basketball wins big over Ecclesia 82-55 to move to 2-0 on the year. Defense was the key tonight, forcong 23 turnovers, as the Saints held the Royals to 36% shooting on the night. The Saints umped out to a quick 4-0 lead before Ecclesia scored twice off of turnovers, it was a ack anf forth first 8 minutes before the host went on a quick 8-0 to strech the lead to double digits. ultimately leading 38-22 at the break.
The second half started the same, pretty slow for both team. Excpet it was the visitors who made the first big run, cutting a 20 point Randall lead to 11. After a timeout, the Saints used defense to spur a 14-2 run to put the game away.
Braeson Barrs-Richardson again lead the way with 17 points for the host, but was helped by 5 other Saints in double figures. Koby Reed had 13 points, Patrick Perry added 11, Cooper Gudell and Eli Riley both chipped in 10. Blestin Miller was a spark off the bench playing tough defense and added 9 points.
Randall heads to Hot Springs, AR for the Champion Classic. Where they'll take on Pensacola Christian Friday at 3pm, and Arkansas Baptist Sturday at 5pm.
