
On a night where the offense struggling to find rhythm defense shines in win over Kansas Christian, 71-66 in Overland Park, KS.
The Saints struggled throughout offensively shooting a season low 33% from the floor and 21% from 3. The host Falcons shot 46% in the opening half leading to a 11 point halftime lead, led by guard Kaiden Hunter with 10 points. Braeson Barrs-Richardson led the Saints with 10 in an opening half that saw the Saints get plenty of good looks but nothing would fall.
The second half was much the same offensively for Randall, with one major exception, they attacked the paint relentlessly putting Kansas Christian in foul trouble early in the half. While playing solid defense and forcing into 1 and done on the offensive end. This marked the second striaght game the Randall won the rebounding battle over a bbigger more athletic team. Led by Sophomore Jonjon Dupree-Buford who played 22 minutes off the bench, and grabbed a career high 16 rebounds 7 of them offensive. Kainan Ryan also made a big impact off the bench scoring scoring 6 second half points, thanks to his ability to get to the paint off the bounce. The Saints ourscored the Falcons 20-15 over the final 8 minutes to earn the hard fought win on the road.
The Saints return to Southwest Region action Saturdayat home against Dallas Christian.
