The Randall University Men's Soccer team has earned national recognition, coming in at #10 in the latest NCCAA Division II Coaches Poll. The Saints currently hold a 6-7 overall record, but an impressive 4-1 mark against NCCAA Division II opponents, proving their strength against teams within their region and at their level of competition.
Despite falling in their most recent match to Rose State College, a talented Division I junior college, the Saints remain focused and hungry to finish the regular season strong. They have shown resilience and consistency throughout the year, finding success in key matchups and continuing to improve each week.
Offensively, Jason Montanez-Martinez has been a driving force, leading the team with 9 goals, while Pedro Da Silva has been the playmaker, leading the Saints in assists. Both have been steady contributors all season long. Israel Ibanez has provided strong leadership, starting every game and setting the tone for the team's effort and discipline. Manuel Bojaca has been a difference-maker in region play, tallying a team-leading 4 goals against regional opponents.
In goal, Preston Grant and Erick Villalobos have been rock solid, combining for over 20 saves each on the year and keeping the Saints competitive in every match.
The road ahead won't be easy, but the Saints are ready for the challenge. They embark on a three-game road trip—at Ozark Christian College (Oct. 21), at NOC-Enid (Oct. 24), and at Champion Christian College (Oct. 28)—before wrapping up the regular season at home in a key region matchup versus Arlington Baptist University on Oct. 30.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Mario Godinez, the Saints have shown growth, grit, and determination all year long. With a national ranking and momentum building, Randall University looks poised to make a strong push toward the region tournament and a shot at a championship.
