The Lady Saints fell to Arlington Baptist in the opening round of the Southwest Regional Tournament, Wednesday in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
It was a slow start for Randall falling behind early and trailing by 18 at halftime. It would have been easy for the Lady Saints to pack it in and say it wasn't their day, but they keep chipping away at the ABU lead. Cutting the lead to 9 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, before the Lady Patriots went on a run of their own to stretch it back to a 16 point game with 10 minutes to go.
Randall was not done though. They scrapped and clawed their way back into the game. Led by freshman Nailiyah McLaurin and Adrianne Wilson the Lady Saints cut the lead to 3 with under a minute to play. The afore mentioned Wilson saw her 3 point attempt come up just short and Arlington made 1 of 2 free throws to win the game 68-64.
