Volleyball defeats Southwestern College in five set thriller, front of a full house. Stetching their win streak to five games.
The Saints got off to a slow start dropping the first set (22-25), but turned it around in the second taking it (25-16) thanks to sophomore Kim Phelps who had 6 kills in the set. The third set was much of the same as the Saints freshamn Addyson Day took center stage in the set with 7 kills. Southwestern turned it around in the fourth taking it (25-20), and kept the momentum to start the deciding fifth set leading 10-5 before Randall found a way to battle back willing the set (17-15)
The Saints were led by Kylie Thompson tied a school record with 48 assists on the night, and the afore mentioned Day who led the game with 17 kills, while hitting an astronomical .481.
They return to action Tuesday night at home against Southwestern Adventist at 6:00pm.
